“Vrachanska Temenuga” is a modern family winery with the capacity to process 100 tons of grapes per year. The winery is located near the city of Vratsa, in the “Deri Vol” area, and has all the conditions for the production of quality wine. The interest of the owners Tihomir and Iglika Kostadinovi in wine production began in 2003, as they embarked on the journey to restore the former lands of VINPROM “Vratsa”. At the moment they own 120 decares of their own vineyards planted explusively with the variety Vratchanski misket.
The cellar was built in 2020 and before that they vinified elsewhere. Their goal is to develop the possibilities of the traditional local variety of Vrachanski misket, producing various products from it – wines and brandies. Winemaker is technologist Iglika Kostadinova.
The cellar has a tasting room and a shop which allows visitors and guests to get to know the products and purchase them. With prior arrangement, a tasting among the vineyards outdoors is also possible.
The trade names under which you can find the cellar’s products are “Vrachanska Temenuga”, “Bubble temenuga”, “Vrattsata”, “Vino Bez Ime (Wine without a name)” and “Mara Vrachanka”, and their most emblematic wine is “Vrachanska Temenuga black edition”.
