Rose Valley

The Sub-Balkan region extends south of Stara Planina mountain and has two sub-regions – East and West. On the southern slopes of the Balkan Mountains and in the valley between it and Sredna Gora are grown mainly the varieties Red Muscat, Riesling, Rkatsiteli, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

More white dry wines are produced here than red ones. The wines form the local variety Red Misket are one of the best representatives of white wines in Bulgaria and are characterized by a rich fruity aroma, elegant body and delicate, memorable aftertaste.
