Villa Bassarea is a small wine cellar near Harmanli. Its total capacity is 70 tons of wine.<\/p>

Terroir<\/span><\/h3>

The vineyards are located on the southern slopes of Sakar mountain in the Maritza river valley, near the villages of Izvorovo and the villages of Kolarovo. Their position is in the south, southwest and southeast. The proximity of a river valley and a varying mountain topography balance the continental-Mediterranean climate in the region. Winters are mild with absolute temperatures not falling below 0-5 C. The spring is warm, it comes early and it is followed by a hot and dry summer. Soils in the region are brown to brown-forest with low to medium rock content. The reproductive layer of soils is very deep and high in nitrogen, warm, moisture-retaining and well-aerated. All these factors support the cultivation of high-quality white and red grape varieties and a harmony of aromas and delicate flavors, with a characteristic and explosive body that has gathered in itself the expressive nature of the south.<\/p>

Wine tourism<\/span><\/h3>

The doors are wide open to all who want to learn about the production process, our winemaking philosophy and acquaint themselves with the terroir of Southern Sakar<\/b>. Access to the winery is easy. It is located in the town of Harmanli<\/b>, at the exit of the town in the direction of Svilengrad, just 300 meters from the Maritsa highway.<\/p>

There is a regional wine shop (enoteca) in the immediate vicinity of the cellar where wines from all the cellars in the region are offered.<\/p>

Perperikon is the largest ancient and sacred city in the Balkans. It is carved from stone, hence its name, which is associated with the Thracian stone god Per. It is located on the Perperikon hill of the same name in the Eastern Rhodopes, 15 km northeast of Kardzhali. In the eternal city are the remains of the sanctuary of the god Dionysius with the famous altar of predictions. It has often been compared to the magnificent Temple of Apollo at Delphi. In the past, the area was a rich source of gold, from which the Perpera gold coins were minted.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The stone mushrooms are rock formations located right by the village of Beli Plast on the side of the road connecting Kardzhali with Haskovo. The protected area is around 3 hectares. They have been declared a natural landmark since 1974. The rock formations have the shape of natural mushrooms – their stumps are pink and their caps are greenish.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The museum centre “Thracian Art in the Eastern Rhodopes” is located in the immediate vicinity of the Alexandrov Tomb. A highlight of the exhibition hall of the museum centre is the exact copy of the original tomb of Alexander. Through the replica, visitors are given the opportunity to get acquainted with a truly unique monument of ancient art in Thrace.
