Main Info
Wine cellar Salla Estate was established in 2010. It is located in the village of Blaskovo, Provadiya province. The village is located in the heart of the famous Sirta Provadian plateau, only 60 km from the city of Varna. The winery owns 300 decares of its own vineyards, located directly next to the cellar, on a southwestern slope. The terrain is hilly and the area combines unique natural conditions – a combination of suitable soil, topography and climate. The planting material is from the French company “Guillaume” and includes the elite white varieties: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Traminer, Riesling, the attractive red varieties: Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and the local Bulgarian variety Vrachanski Misket.
The main technologist of the winery since its creation is engineer Anelia Hristakieva – one of the leading oenologists in Bulgaria chosen as oenologist of the year 2019 by the Union of Oenologists.
In addition to a wine tasting room, the winery has a cosy Bulgarian-style restaurant, a guest house, a picnic area, horse stables, picturesque vineyards and an attentive and caring staff.
The cellar offers its guests 9 double rooms and one room with 5 beds. The rooms are cosy and comfortable equipped with air conditioning and Wi-Fi.
Among the winery’s amenities are a steam bath and a Bulgarian-style restaurant, a volleyball and football field as well as an indoor table tennis hall. During the summer season guests can enjoy an open-air restaurant with a magnificent view located directly above the vineyards. The complex is extremely suitable for family vacations, team building, private parties and other occasions.
At Salla Estate every detail is treated with love and attention – from the planting of the vineyard, the cultivation of the grapes all the way to the finished product – the wine. Their aim and mission is to make more people develop a wine culture in themselves, to look for good quality and diverse wine tastes, and to do so in a unique setting.
You can also visit the natural phenomenon Chudni skali (Wonderful rocks) on the shore of the Tsonevo dam (22 km from the cellar). You can take a trip to the sea capital Varna or head to the Madar Horseman (UNESCO site) and the first Bulgarian capitals Pliska and Veliki Preslav.
