Main Info
Wine cellar Roxs is a project by the experiences oenologists Snezhana and Atanas Mutafchiiski who together with Delyana and Dako Nikolovi decided to create their own wine space. In 2018 they decide to get embark upon the adventure called Roxs Winery.
The wine cellar is located in the village of Vinarovo in the foothills of Sredna Gora in the old village community baths. Despite now having their own vineyards the owners say that thanks to the good relationships and trust with experienced winemakers in different regions of Bulgaria they manage to find and process brilliant grapes. They process around 65 tons of grapes from the varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Syrah, Marcellan, Carmenère, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Mavrud. The wines are presented in 3 series – Pero, Dandelion (Roxs Winery from vintage 2020) and the emblematic for the winery SM.
The winery is small, boutique and very well organised. The owners are welcoming and want to share their experience and philosophy with the wine tourists. The big yard by the cellar offers breathtaking views of Sredna Gora and during the spring-summer season you can smell the wonderful aroma of roses and lavender in the air. A view which you can enjoy while you sip on the cellar’s wonderful wines presented personally by the oenologists.
The region is rich in wine cellars open to visitors where you are certainly going to enjoy a memorable wine tour or weekend!
